We believe fast, accurate transcription should be a free utility — not a paywalled feature. Most tools cap your minutes, hide the result behind an account, or stamp a watermark on the text until you pay.

Audio to Text does the opposite: drop in a file or record from your mic, and get a clean transcript you can copy, edit and translate right away — no sign-up, no trial, no catch.

Under the hood we use modern AI speech-recognition models — the same class of technology that powers voice assistants — to convert speech into text. Large files are compressed in your browser before upload, and long recordings are automatically split into parts and stitched back into a single transcript, so there's no practical length limit.

You can then translate the transcript into 40+ languages and ask an AI chat to summarize it, pull out the key points, or list action items — all from the same page.

Your audio is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection, transcribed in memory, and never written to disk or stored on our servers. Once your transcript is generated, the audio is gone from our side.

The transcript itself lives in your browser, not in an account we hold — there's no profile to build because there's no login. Our Privacy Policy spells out the full detail.

Audio to Text is built and maintained by Codenix, a small software team that ships focused, well-crafted web tools. We use it ourselves for meeting notes, interviews and lecture recordings, which is why it's tuned for real, everyday audio rather than a demo reel.
