We want everyone to be able to turn audio into text, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement explains where we stand and how to reach us.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we keep improving the site over time.
What we do
Semantic HTML with a single, logical heading structure on every page.
Keyboard-operable controls with visible focus states.
Text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alternatives for purely decorative ones.
Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA.
An interface in 10 languages, with correct text direction for right-to-left languages.
The tool itself
Transcription makes spoken audio available as text, which directly supports Deaf and hard-of-hearing users. Transcripts are selectable, copyable, and can be translated into 40+ languages.
Known limitations
Automatic speech recognition is not perfect on heavy accents, crosstalk or background noise, so a transcript may need a review pass. Some embedded third-party components (such as the browser-verification widget) are outside our direct control.
